We drive to the town of Bardejov, a gem whose historical centre is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Sightseeing tour of the city centre (fortification walls, market square, Church of St. Idzi).
The most important monument of the square in Bardejov is the parish church of St. Giles (Sv. Egidja), located in its northern part.
Its construction began at the beginning of the 15th century on the site of a Cistercian monastery. The church took the shape of a magnificent three-nave Gothic basilica. The construction of the church was finished with the covering of the main nave in 1513 - 1518. The simple architecture hides a lot of valuable details and artistic works. In the group of 11 Late Gothic wing altars, built in the years 1460 - 1520, the side altar of Nativity of the Lord, created in the environment of the Cracovian workshop of W. Stwosz, is considered the most valuable. The sculpture of the Throne of Grace at the front of the altar of St Barbara, probably made in the workshop of Master Pavol of Levoča, is considered the top sculptural achievement in Slovakia. In 2001, Pope John Paul II bestowed the title of Minor Basilica on the Church of St. Idzi.
Bardejov city walls - a complex of fortified brick buildings built in the 14th-16th centuries, consisting of peripheral walls reinforced with towers, defensive gates and barbicanes and complemented by a wet moat, surrounding the medieval city centre of Bardejov in northeastern Slovakia.

The open-air museum in Bardejovské Kúpele was opened as the first museum of folk architecture in Slovakia. It houses 24 residential, sacral, economic and technical buildings that represent the folk culture and architecture of the Slovak and Ruthenian ethnic group living in the upper Šariš region and the northern Zemplín area. Most of the objects come from the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century and typically belong to the Carpathian wooden buildings.
Drive through Slovak villages inhabited by Rusyns (łęków) to the saddleback Obručné / Obruczne.
It is interesting that we follow the ridge where the main European watershed runs. On the right we have streams flowing down to the Poprad river, which through the Dunajec and Vistula rivers finally find their outlet in the Baltic Sea, while on the left we have streams which feed the Topla river, which in turn through the Ondava, Bodrog, Tisza and Danube rivers feeds the Black Sea. This section of the trail is also full of infrequent, but very scenic spots.
Descend to the border crossing Leluchów, return to Krynica through Muszyna by the scenic route.
